What is your name?
They call me Patch..

Cool Name… Where did it come from?
I guess whoever named me were fans of Pirates or were trying to give up smoking or were on HRT..

You look quite familiar?
Thanks.. I wasn’t in 101 Dalmatians.. Sometimes people think I was.. but that wasn’t me I’m afraid. If it was I would not be penniless and homeless… I’m actually a small Pointer. I think my poor start in life stunted my growth… but it made me a survivor and an optimist…

How old are you?
I’m just a wee baby youngster.. I’m around 9 months old.

Where are your mum & Dad?
I don’t know.. It makes me sad.. but I was abandoned by my Doggy and my Human mum and dad when I was very little..

You have a strange accent if you don’t mind me saying?
Well… I am originally from Cyprus, but I have learned to speak English..

Wow.. your from Cyprus?
Yes … There are lots of great people there, but there are also too many who don’t love dogs and treat us very badly.

So how did you get to the UK?
I was rescued and flown over to the UK by the kind humans who run Jodie's Cyprus Dog Rehoming charity…

Wow.. Really?
Yes they are a great charity (I am a bit bias as the saved my life) but like many charities they are over worked and underfunded as there are so many dogs to rescue.

So have you been adopted now?
No. I had a home, however they had smallchildren and had to give me up as they had a busy lifestyle and as I was a very small puppy they found me a little too naughty at times.. Sometimes I got excited and had little accidents in the house…

OMG.. you wee in the House!
NO. not now I’m growing up.. You call it house trained… I just call it excellent muscle control.. 

So you need a home?
Yes I have a lot of love to give and I’m looking for my forever home. My foster Humans are terrific and they have really helped me to mature and grow.. I used to be a wee rascal.. and I still have my moments as I am a dog you know, but I have had to grow up fast..

What is your best feature?
Oh.. that is a tough one.. I’m quite cute, happy and outgoing. I really LOVE sniffing around the woods and enjoy meeting new doggie and human friends. I will work for treats (I'm a lot fatter than I used to be.. apparently I was ‘skin and bone’) I just love treats and pleasing humans… I give a great paw…. But if I had to choose us one it would be my recall… I can wander off a bit exploring ,,, but I love running back (especially for some praise and a treat) to my humans..

Where do you see yourself in 3 years’ time?
Oh.. I want to be doing your Job…

Really?
Naw only kidding… I can’t type.. You need an infinite number of Monkeys to do that .. I would want to be happy, better trained and be part of a loving family. I like all people but I can be a bit excitable so any kids would need to be a bit older.. Teenagers are Cool, just like me.. LOL…

I’m in Fife, Scotland right now. But I will live anywhere.. Please contact Jodies Cyprus Dog Re-homing or message PAWWS (the owners are trustees of the charity and they are looking after me via one of their local foster families)
