Remotes won't open Range Rover sport 4.2 supercharged

Hi there

Turned the car around before all normal just been out to it an neither of my remotes will unlock it the red alarm is flashing in the dash any ideas ???

You have probably found out by now that there is a keyhole in the passenger side front door handle under the plastic cap for just this situation.

Best likely situation - possibly just a flat battery in the remote that you usually use and the spare (if you haven't used it for a while) may also have a flat battery. The batteries can be replaced but it can be a struggle to break open the remote to do it. Plenty of guides on here and the Disco3 site. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

I tried going for a long run with my usual key in the car but was the same so tonight I have run the car with my spare key in for a good hour but still nothing Big Cry so will now look into changing batteries in the remotes thanks very much for getting in touch I will let you no how I get on

Breaking open the fob to change the battery is a bit of a task so might just be worth popping in to a local garage and asking them to test the fob with a RF detector to see if it is transmitting anything. Most decent garages have these.

If you do have to open the fob then take care not to stab yourself in the process!
