Thanks again Rob Thumbs Up

Does the prop need to be removed to remove the one bolt below it?

Dont need to remove completely but will need the prop undoing from front diff and moving out the way although it wont move much just lift up slightly towards the underside of floor and secure with a tie wrap

Be careful....
The end of the prop has a plastic shield that covers the flange so good idea is to pop a tie wrap through the bolt hole on plastic shield and through flange to prevent you spending ages afterwards trying to get the paper gasket that is sandwiched between the shield and flange lined up to put the Censored bolts back into prop. Top tip about the flange Rob........I feel your pain Shocked

When I removed my prop on my D3 I found I hand to move the vehicle slightly forward to turn the prop so I could get to all the bolts........is that the case in this instance too?

No need to move vehicle but you will need to out gearbox in neutral and have a helper press brake to hold still while you undo Thumbs Up TDV8 now with extra grin factor thanks to Alive Tunning: Gone but not forgotten

I presume you had all 4 wheels off the ground to do it that way?

As we only have 2 axle stands I guess we need to undo half the bolts then move the vehicle to get access to the others?!

No just front two wheels on axle stands. With the gearbox in neutral you should be able to spin the prop all the way round TDV8 now with extra grin factor thanks to Alive Tunning: Gone but not forgotten

For anyone in Oxfordshire area, I had James French in Standlake replace mine (2005 SC) and was charged just an hours labour.
