England 2009 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Santorini Black
Removal of wiper arms

Hi all

Just recently bought an 09 tdv8 (my first RR ) very impressed with it, apart from a gearbox problem which currently being sorted !! Noticed that one of the front wiper arms has a slight bit of dis-colouration /corrosion and was wondering how easy it is to remove both of them so that i can rub them down and respray/lacquer. Can i just point out that im as mechanically minded as most of you guys are with cross-stitch (no offence if you're into that sort of thing )
Any tips and advice would be greatly appreciated RR TDV8 SANTORINI BLACK IVORY LEATHER ZEBRANO WOOD

Welcome to TDV8 self help group.

The simplest most foolproof way is pop out the caps on the tops of the spindles, undo the nut underneath and remove it (take care not to drop it - put a towel underneath to catch it).

Then use one of these to pull off the arm:

Oh and before you start, mark the position of the blades on the windscreen with masking tape so you can put them back on in the same place. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

No problem. BTW you may find that the wiper arms come off the splines quite easily without the need for a puller but when you are bending over the bonnet wrestling them off use some more soft material to protect the paintwork from your belt buckle, watch or dropped wiper arms.

yes - I think a few of us have fond memories of those shorts Whistle 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE
