EcoWarrior, I thought the eighties were over! In these days of historically low interest rates and accomodating (bordering irresponsible) finance companies, since when has a person's car been a reliable gauge of their net worth? There is a clear correlation between a persons wealth and the kind of car they drive - the two are diametrically opposed. Clearly, the aspirational class generally buy the expensive cars while truly wealthy individuals get around in Toyota's and Hyundai's.

I personally have no problem judging people by what they drive or what they wear. Who cares how much or how little you make- if you have little taste, destroy your car, and wear nothing but full-body track suits (shells as your brits call'em), you deserve a kick in the arse. But of course, I'm from Newport Beach (Orange County), CA - aka Vanity Central. 2005 Supercharged Range Rover Sport
