I have previously changed and adjusted the shoes before the dreaded squeal Sad ,do I need a computer on it before or after fitting the handbrake unit?

A new module will require calibrating

Can we ask what the fault is with the original module? I have replaced 4 in the last 10 years, they are a fairly robust item if maintained correctly Thumbs Up

It all started on the brake tester during the mot,an almighty squeal and the tester was panicing because he couldn't get it to stop,I replaced the shoes and readjusted but after a week or two it's started again, you can hear the noise in my house when it's outside in the drive? Big Cry

Most squealing EPB issues are down to incorrect adjustment, or incorrect fitment.

I'd be stripping it down and rechecking everything before ordering a new module Thumbs Up
It may be as simple as the new shoes have fully bedded in now, and need re-adjusting
