United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black

Had same fault after changing the switch, after reading some of the threads on here I changed both brake light bulbs and surprisingly all the warning lights dissapeared Rolling with laughter RRS SUPERCHARGED, 22 INCH ALLOYS, JAVA BLACK, FULLY COLOUR CODED
EVERY POSSIBLE SOFTWARE UPDATE INCLUDING - BLUTOOTH UPDATE, SATNAV ON THE MOVE, CLOCK ON DASH, 3 CLICK FLASH, GEARBOX RESET, COMPRESSOR UPDATE AND SUSPENSION LOWERED,
BLACK CODE RE-MAPPED, AUTOBIOGRAPHY'D, NEW EXIDE BATTERY, NEW DENSO ALTERNATOR

I'm going to have a go at this as I have been getting a few random faults appear.

Is the brake switch the same part number for a rrs tdv8 as a disco3?

Yes - believe it is since posters over on the Disco 3 site quote the same part no. as in this thread. Apparently random faults can also be associated with low state of battery charge so a good idea to give it a full charge.

No guarantee of a fix but definitely worth a try Thumbs Up 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Yes this is the first point of call. The battery is 3 years old and hasn't done a lot of miles.

I have just bought the car, going to give her a good run at the weekend and get booked in for full service next week with fuel and oil filters changed.
