United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

He's got £10k to spend. That's not going to get you anywhere with the RRSs listed on this site. To be honest, at £10k you're basically taking a punt on the best you can find in a tired lot. A bad one will easily eat 20% more than that budget in the first year, sadly. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Two more scams listed today:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Land-Rover-Range...SwnLdWr2a4

Thanks for the advice again, I have been looking on here but as stated earlier they seem to be mainly £20k+ at the moment Sad

I'm not in any big rush anyway, so 'll keep my eye out! Smile

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

Hi Mate,

I was in a similar dilemma to you when I bought mine. I was looking at the cheaper end of the market. There is no question that a good RRS will reward you like no other car, but a bad one will break you.
I got round that by spending a bit more than I wanted to one the right one, and also running a cheap 50 MPG diesel as the commuting car. This probably pays for itself, as I don't put 25K miles a year on the sport.
However don't underestimate when buying one around the 100K miles that there are things that will need doing.
To keep the gearbox working you need a full flush (£5-600), probably some suspension bushes and or control arms, the compressor will need replacing or seals changing (DIY'able), cambelt needs doing at 7 years/105K miles.
All this could add up to £2k. That's why it's best to have a good fund that you can use to fix it.
Once all that is done, then it'll be fantastic, and you'll start planning trips all over the place, but don't spend every last penny you have just buying one.
