2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
Well p***ed off !!!

Picked up my 2006 sport just before xmas and absolutely love it. There's a couple of small chips in the paint but really good nick for a 10 year old motor. Came back to it today and found a lovely long scratch on rear 1/4 panel !! Not a happy chap at all. Don't know if it was an accident or done on purpose, why can't people be more careful.

Going to have a look later when the snow clears, hopefully it'll polish out. I always park right away from the shops at supermarkets etc to avoid trolley scrapes, and seeing where it is I don't think it was an accident. I don't get this problem in the 110 lol

Can you feel the scratch with the tip of your finger nail? If not, it's likely it'll polish out completely.. if not, then depending how deep, if it's not gone down to the primer, there's every chance you'll at least be able to hide 90%+ of it.. this was what got me into detailing in the first place after someone keyed the entire length of my black BMW convertible. I'd never done it before, but I was able to hide it enough that unless you knew it was there, you couldn't see it, and even if you did, you had to look at a particular angle etc.. was worth the initial outlay of a few hundred quid for the polisher and products.. only problem from there was it caught on like a bug and now I have £1000s of products and stuff and I spend weekends at a time doing it for fun Laughing

Cheers..

Ian

Know what you mean we spend ages driving round in car parks looking for the right spot. Always try for an end spot and/or well away from other people. It's bad enough getting the paint damaged but on mine it's also the decals which would be impossible to replace ( original anyhow)... 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current

Leave it dirty. Strangely, a muddy RRS doesn't seem to attract quite the same envy-rage...also means that weekends aren't spent on the driveway with a bucket and rag. Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I can drive the 110 around for weeks without cleaning it, it gets plastered in mud from the stables and the lanes around here. But the sport is cleaned every week, just doesn't look right covered in mud lol
