New car collected ....... Help please

Hi, we picked up our HSE on Monday and I have a couple of questions that I can't find the answer to in the handbook.

1. Handbook States the footwell lights are illuminated when doors are open but ours are on when driving.
2. Handbook says rear seats can be both tilted and slid backwards and forwards. I can find the handle for the backrest adjustment but not for the forward/backward adjustment.
3. Courtesy lights not illuminating when doors are opened.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Andy,

The rear seats can NOT be moved fore and aft - only the seatback can be reclined.

To set the interior lights to come on when you open the door, find the centre light (not left or right) in the overhead panel just behind the rear view mirror. Hold your finger on it until it flashes to enable this mode, et voila!

Hope that helps....

H.

There is a bar in front of the rear seats. Just lift this to slide the seat from front to rear.

My vehicle is 5+2 and it's possible this may not be possible on a standard car. MY16 (65) RRS, HSE, White, 21" 507s, Pan/Black Roof, 7 Seats, Ebony/Cirrus, Surround Cams, Fully Color Coded

On a regular five seater there is no bar to adjust the rear seats fore and aft. I've just checked my MY16 car outside!

Footwell lights stay illuminated on mine while driving, I noticed it while driving at night so not sure if it stays on during daytime as well.

If the footwell lights and other interior lights are too bright for you, put the system into stealth mode. Everything dims to a very low level from the speedo to the footwells. It's only two button presses!

Very relaxing for night driving....

Brilliant. Thanks everyone for your help. Just one more question. Whe reverse is engaged, we can see a portion of the rear bumper on the camera . Is this normal? I seem to remember we could just see the road on our test drive vehicle .

Morning Andy,

I can see the same. It does give a good reference point.

With such a wide angle lens that gives a circular raw image, if you need to see the wide horizontal then there will be a tall vertical as well, only reduced by the format of the screen...

I'm still finding new things after 8 weeks and 2,000 miles even though I've read the manual.

Enjoy the car - mine's brilliant!

H.

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

I don't know if this is the same on RRS2 as I haven't needed to adjust my rear cam but on my two Evoques I could move the image from the rear cam up and down by tapping the screen at the top edge or bottom edge. The cam doesn't move, it's all in the processing of the image the computer gets from it. I cannot see the rear bumper on my car however I also don't have a tow hitch or the Tow Assist funtion which might have something to do with the view showing the bumper. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
