RRS 2008 iOS 9 issues

Hi all..

Has anyone running a pre-2010 RRS updates their iPhone to iOS 9 and still had the handsfree bluetooth work still?

I get all the displays showing the expected results, but I get no sound through the system any more. Even if I try to make a call from the car using the phonebook / last numbers menu, it seems to silence the music as expected then kind of disconnect from the system just leaving 'Bluetooth' displayed on the head unit display and the music then continues to play at the original volume.

Incoming calls are much the same.

I haven't yet had a chance to revert back to a pre-iOS 9 backup bit wondered if it was just me.

Cheers..

Ian

Mine works fine. D3 is same as rrs. Thumbs Up
Have you tied removing the battery cables, holding them together for 20 seconds and then re attach to battery.

Are you on the latest Blutooth version in the car? I.e. Do you get the phonebook contacts on th radio screen? Bodsys Brake Bible

If you never had the phone book download or display you need to get your Bluetooth module replaced with an updated one.
Do a search on here for one as a boy does an exchange service, I got one when I had my 2007, quite easy to fit. Lot of Landcruisers now sold

Many thanks for the replies and suggestions.

I do have my phonebook imported (including last numbers (dialled, missed, received) so I'm guessing that I have the latest BT module installed.

I disconnected the battery and connected the cables as suggested, but this doesn't appear to have done the trick.

If I hit the phone button on the dash and then pick a name from either the address book or a recent number and select it, the call will be made, but I don't hear anything through the car. I can't adjust the volume to test that as it never gets to the point where the BT connection actually accepts the phonecall connection (ie: as soon as someone picks up, the BT connection seems to be dropped, reverts back to just reading 'Bluetooth' in the head unit display and if I'm trying to adjust the volume, it just changes the music volume instead.

I'm going to try and connect my better half's phone later (same phone, but I think she's still on 8.0) just to eliminate that for myself.

Is there anything specific to the BT stuff connected to the HK amp under the driver's seat? Something I can potentially unplug and plug back in?

Cheers..

Ian

Hi,

Both SWMBO and myself had issues with our 5S & 6 pairing with both my RRS and her D4 after iOS 9.0.2 upgrade.

Worked a treat after a full re-boot of both phones.

Migh be worth a punt.

Thanks Scrumps.

I checked with Clare's iOS 8.0 iPhone 6 and this is behaving in the same way as mine.. so looks like there must be something with my motor afterall Sad

Seems odd that it's only the audio that's broken (head unit works fine for everything else.. CD, radio, etc).. so the connection from head unit to speakers is fine.

Cheers..

Ian
