RR Sport - 20 ins wheels - best tyres?

Hi all,
Apologies, I'm sure this question has been asked/answered a million times elsewhere but I need 4 new tyres for my RR Sport.
I have 20ins wheels, the tyres on it are 245/45/20. Don't know if these are the correct size/config so can someone please advise on best tyre sizing for all round grip and performance?
Am thinking Pirelli Scorpion Zero but if anyone else can recommend any other brands/sizing that are good/correct for load/rating and that have a decent rim protection I'd appreciate it. Any online supplier recommendations for supply only also appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi

Are you sure they are 245/45 x 20? as they should be 275/40 x 20 at least.

Cheers
Col

Sorry, my mistake, was looking at wrong pic. They are 255/40/20. Ride is hard and you feel
Every bump. Just found a conversation string on here recommending Hankook 275/45/20.
Maybe this is the way to go & away from the Pirelli's....?

Hi

255/40 is still wrong might be 255/50 but it will be a 19" rim. As for the tyres are you looking for Winter, Summer or All Season. 275/45 x 20 is the way to go.

Cheers
Col

I have had the Pirelli Scorpion Zeros on my RRSs/c and they are a very good performance type of tyre , lots of grip etc but best on tarmac.
Recently I aquired a set of Pirelli Verde All Season 255/55/20 .The same that they put on new 2015 RR's. They have plenty of sidewall for comfort and offer better offroad and wet weather capabilities. They fill the guards nicely as they are bigger than the 255/55/19 that were on some previous models. But they are expensive when compared to non -European Brands.

So I took the advice & have gone for Hankook 275/45/20. They feel much better than the previous, grip is good in wet, no difference in road noise to previous and comfort is better I would say.
Overall I'd say a good change so thanks to all for your views & contributions. I've included some pics of them fitted too, they definitely fill the arch better and look better I'd say.

Hi, if you don't mind me asking, where did you buy them from and how much for the 4 fitted.
Cheers. Phil.

I also had a set of Hankooks fitted on mine back in August. Very good mid range tyre, have had a few moments pulling out of junctions when the roads have been greasy, but then it is a proper sport not one of them oil burning ones Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

I got them from www.tyreleader.co.uk
They were £109 each incl shipping via DPD (they came from Germany), I ordered them on the Thursday afternoon and they arrived the following Monday morning. All shrink wrapped and ready.
I had them fitted at a local garage as part of a wheel refurb so they just put them on instead of the old ones which were past their best.
They drive really well, ride is good, quiet & good grip.

just fitted the same to mine, also from tyreleader, ordered friday afternoon and delivered monday morning! £110 a tyre.

From the little I have used them I agree they feel more comfy over the potholed streets where I live.

Started looking into new 20s for when mine are due.....
One issue is the load rating. Manufacturer recommended is 106Y....Hankooks are W.....so insurance company should be notified I guess? Will call before I purchase.
However, General Grabber GT are 106Y rated and come in 40 and 45. Next dilemma there - which to choose? Again, will need to check with insurer.....
Also LR Warranty might start being funny about 45s if an issue arose in the future Big Cry
What do folks think? Do people tell insurers they have non spec tyres when they fit Hankooks? Visitor from fullfatrr.com
