United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Autobiography Stornoway Grey
Rimini HST, LR Stand @ CLA Game Fair

Sitting on the Landrover stand at the CLA Gam Fair the only RRS was a Rimini Red HST SC. I took a picture which I shall upload tonight. I was chatting to the salesman on the stand, he agreed it was a bit bling, and that maybe some crass footballers would buy it. Shocked

There seemed to be a decent level of interest in it, I was more interested in the G4 coloured one standing on it's nose which was also at Goodwood.
They were doing the normal 4x4 course with D3 and RRS cars, the queue was long, they were all G4 livery too. There was also a new Freelander in GOLD, of all colours. It looked so boring I couldn't be bothered to look at it or take a shot of it.

Funny thing though, on the Volvo stand they had the XC90 doing some 'off roading', however it was so funny, I really wish I'd taken a snapshot, the hump they were driving one side of the vehicle over was about 8 inches high! Just about as high as a kurb then. Well makes sense when you think about it, someone's got to teach all the school run mums how to mount the kerb outside little Timmy's school... Laughing

I think the new FL works excellently in the new Tambura Flame colour... not so vivid as Vesuvius. Works really well... there were some nice colours in the swatch display they had at the motorshow.

Yeah that was it....another future unsaleable colour.

The XC90 things WAS hilarious, especially as they were as far away from LR as possible, well, it'd just be embarassing wouldn't it..... L319 D4 HSE

Belgium 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

I don't know about an eight inch kerb, but in Italy this summer, I had to climb a 4km white road with steep switchbacks and loose gravel to reach our (remote) villa. The XC90 - which had been brilliant on the motorway - would huff and puff and lag in second gear forcing me into first for the steeper bits (we're not talking low gear by any means) so that by the time we arrived, had parked and shut off the engine, the cooling fan would run on at full blast for another 30 minutes.

What was embarrassing, was watching the gardeners race up and down in their Punto...guess it's a skill thing Embarassed Embarassed

The lesson is that the XC90 is a great (albeit dull) car providing you keep the incline at less than 9 degrees... 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE, Java/Ebony/Cherry, Privacy, Sunroof, PTI, Premium Sound, SatNav, Cold Climate, Tow kit, CarStyle coded grill and vents, Tasmods, Stormers, JE Exhaust, Autobiography badge
