Standard, HST, facelift or Autobiography

I'm thinking of buying another Range Rover sport. Want something different to the first one, so thinking of getting a HST or face lifted to 2012 or autobiography or buying a standard and spending a few grand to bolt a HST or Autobiography or face lifting a 2005-2007. Any suggests and which will have better resale value.

I would buy an Autobiography or HST, the kits are good but some of the quality may not stand up with time.

I started with a 2005 Supercharged RRS - spent literally thousands on upgrades - it was a labour of love - everywhere I went compliments & looks Whistle if I may so it looked the dogs Censored Rolling with laughter
I was lucky enough to find bargains & discounts whilst purchasing various parts along the way - would I do it again - NO - even with the fantastic price I got for it - I still lost more than a few £k.
IMO the HST is a smart looking Sport - the Autobiography - be it a facelift / upgraded version is the natural successor therefore should be more attractive but this will be down to personal preference.
If the facelift is the way you want to go - i would atleast try & purchase the 2009 - 59 facelift base model - this allows the fitting of the AB kit with a lot less hassle - it also gives you the newer cockpit which again can be upgraded Thumbs Up
Whatever your decision good luck Thumbs Up 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............
17MY Autobiography Dynamic - Corris Grey - WOW.

2005 Java Black - 4.2 V8 Supercharged First Edition- will never be forgotten ;(

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 Autobiography Orkney Grey

I had the same dilema, but when I went to the dealer to test drive an RRS the Autobiography had already latched onto my wallet and nicked my credit card out...

Having driven around in this now, I am more than happy with the choice.

The other thing is that the one I got came fully loaded - I recently specced a new model and with the same options it was launched into the mid £90k's!

Having spent £42k on a 2 year 8 month old car was a big ask for me but when someone paid over £75k for it 3 years ago I feel I've done ok..

Autobiography everytime..

im in the same situation. i have an early 06. i painted the lights inners black and fitted LED leds like oem face lift and also fitted a facelift style grille... but its still not like a face lift...

so just landed myself some valeo 2012 headlights for £400 and got bumpers for £100!
just need the PCD sensors/loom and wings.

facelift looks so much better IMO.

thanks for the replies, I am swaying towards the HST as this would keep within the age of the car and less hassle to swap.

My first RRS was a gun metal HST, loved that car, ended up getting rid due to repeated electrical faults which the dealer could not resolve.

When I bought my tdv8 hse I had planned to put the hst kit on , however I went for the autobiography kit instead, in my opinion looks better and more up to date than the hst
