Hi, try quoting "Under Bonnet Alarm Switch Assy, LR041431" or LR065340 - BONNET / HOOD ALARM SWITCH DISCO3-4-RRS to your local Dealer (or any other Land Rover parts supplier), the latter item is the latest part and now appears to be supplied complete with the mounting bracket.

Beware of greasing... Reference SSM40525 Models Discovery 3 / L319 Range Rover Sport / L320 Title Bonnet Catch Lubrication Category Body Last modified 23-Feb-2009 00:00:00 Symptom 112000 Latches/Locks & Security Content Issue: Failure of the bonnet switch located within the bonnet catch Cause: Lubrication of the bonnet catch during routine servicing. Although lubrication of the bonnet catch is not called for under the service schedule, some technicians may lubricate the catch under the assumption that this is good workshop practice. Action: Please DO NOT lubricate the bonnet latch as this may cause early life failure of the micro switch within the latch. This may result in rejected claims against the latch. I was going to say, just bridge the bonnet switch as a temp fix. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures

Guys just a quick question. I took off the grill and removed the unit, unplugged it, very easy but when i put the new part on the bonnet cable is loose as the fitting is different from the old one. the metal part that holds the cable is not as far away as the old one and thus the cable remains loose and not taught ..Hope I have explained that well enough and if you have any ideas for me you would help me greatly! Thank you Francesca |
