My temp gauge starts moving after around 1 mile of driving, and Upto exactly half way after 3-4 miles |

20 minutes of driving to get up to temp does sound rather slow to me. My (admittedly different engine) TDV8 does basically as DM's does. It's quicker still if the ambient temp is low because the FBH kicks in and helps. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Thanks all for the responses, so it definitely sounds slower than the norm - my experience of driving Defenders and Discos is the warm up time is usually only a few mins... |

Well worth it in winter. Pre set your time the night before & wake up to a nice warm & defrosted car

Did a longer drive this morning and the needle spent most of the time at the bottom of the gauge. It found its way to the mid position a few times but then made it's way south again. Erratic is the best descriptor... |
