Steering issue??

Hi guys got a weird one for you.. All of a sudden the Steering has gone heavy.. It's not always like this just when you go side to side.. Best way to describe it is that when you turn a corner usually if you let your hands off it will turn the steering wheel back near central where as all of a sudden mine dosent! If you left it, it would just keep going round! Any idea what this could be? I've checked the power steering fluid and there's plenty in! All tyre pressures are correct too! It's not Undriveable but just feels heavy on the turns all of a sudden... Thanks in adavance

RRS has a Servotronic valve on the steering rack. Very common for wiring issues to this valve, causing heavy steering.

If there is an issue with this valve, there Will be a fault code stored in the Air Suspension module for the valve Thumbs Up

Around half an hour to replace on a V6, little longer on the V8's

Bolts onto the steering rack

Thumbs Up

Thanks for the prompt reply. Is there a diagram or instructions for oiling the steering column and associated areas that need oiling?are they easy to get to for a competent DIYer??

Thanks

2006 RRS heavy steering

Hi I've just bought my first RRS last week and I think the steering is faulty I've had discos before and driven other range rovers but this one just seems real heavy at all speeds it never changes. Lock to lock is smooth and the wheel centres it's self after turning could anybody shed some light please I've checked fluid level is correct and I have no leaks.

Cheers Liam
