Yes. £500-ish increase in the premium - a relatively small increase in the total premium for me though (house and my cars are all on the same policy), and the SVR will cost £40k more than my current MY12 Autobiography did.

Low volume, high value, desirable vehicle. That's got "theft risk" written all over it in an insurance company's mind. The 5.0S/C AB is relatively common in comparison and not nearly as "steal to order" worthy. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

I was hoping it wouldnt be a huge jump from the 5.0 AB sport. Does the SVR even come up as a option on say Compare the market?

Do LR insist on a separate Tracker in addition to InSecure?

Theoretically you could insure an item that doesn't exist, and I dare say people claim for non existent items. In this case, unless you have a trade policy, you would need to inform the insurance company of the reg no of the car, but the DVLA are not going to allow you to place a reg plate on a non existing car! |

Doesn't sound like Land Rover insurance is competitive and will try adding to my Admiral multi-car policy nearer delivery. If they can insure a 911 GT3 for £400, I hope the SVR will not be much more but with a huge question mark still over RRS security, it may well be. Mark

I'm pretty sure you can transfer a reg at first registration - just give the dealer the form if it is on retention.

Indeed you can, you just give the form to the dealer before first registration and it goes on your personal plate straightaway. Mark
