Terraclean ??

Has anyone used these guys? They can do a full EGR and Turbo clean as well as a Particulate filter cleaned instead of a new one. Sounds good but has anyone used their services?

The first I've heard about this was on Facebook With a dodgy picture of a bloke standing in front of an old motor. Looks like its about £150 and they do it mobile however I'm not sure how reputable it is. I'm not Fat. RRS TDV6 HST.

Ouch. What a glowing review.

Generally IMO anyone who can buy these machines ansoperate themselves as a mobile business is not worth going anywhere near. The pros and advantages all sound so good but if thats the case why don't normal garages offer it? I'm not Fat. RRS TDV6 HST.

I have my own Garage and I've bought the Terraclean machines. How they work is by disabling your fuel supply and putting a liquid through your fuel system which cleans everything that your fuel would normally come into contact with. Basically, atomising carbon deposits that build up over time.

We have had great results, the best being an extra 10 mpg on a Toyota Rav 4. I did my old TDV8 and only gained 0.8 or 0.9 mpg, although it was definitely smoother and quieter. It's impossible to predict the improvement, due to not knowing the condition of the inside of anyone's engine (ie. service history, how it's been driven etc etc). What I will garuantee is that every single vehicle we have done has seen an improvement in some way.

@ jenko2005 - there must be an issue with your vehicle - Terraclean can neither fix nor break your car.

Cost is £110+vat (£132) for vehicles over 2 litres. Some places will discount but Terraclean themselves advise against discounting!

The EGR/turbo cleaning is a separate job (tools I didn't purchase) although all under the Terraclean banner. I'm not aware if that is a good price or not.

I put it this way, for the price of a whole clean is a dam lot cheaper than a new PDF on its own if I needed a new one

I know some people who have had it done in Bracknell on a range of cars both petrol and diesel, initial thoughts were that diesel engined cars benefitted the most, whereas petrol engined ones were marginal if at all in terms of improvements.

Maybe depends on mileage, etc...
