Telephone use after engine off

Hi all

Car is MY10.

The manual says that in order to ensure the bluetooth remains connected when you switch the engine off (to continue a call you were making with the engine on) you must make sure the stereo is switched on!

Can anyone advise me how to do this - on the FFRR it's easy as the button has a light signifiying on/off. but on the RRS there is no such indicator!

Any help would be much appreciated as it is a complete lottery at the moment whether a call cuts off or not!

Thanks

Mine cuts off and its a pain in the arse....but not as much as much as when I'm walking towards the car whilst on the phone and as soon as I unlock the car the bluetooth kicks in and switches my call to the car, before I'm even in it or started it, leaving me talking to myself and my caller talking to an empty car.

Has even happened when I've been sitting on living room on my mobile & the Mrs has gone out to the car for something Evil or Very Mad MY07 TDV6 HSE Stornaway & Ivory

muddywheels and 362bkr I can't comment on the MY13 but I suspect on MY10 you have had the radio switched on before you made or received your calls which would make the phone behave as you describe.

I would be really interested to know if anyone has worked out a way to control this - if I happen not to have anything on when someone rings I cannot continue talking when I switch off the engine!

Does upgrading the system to the newer firmware change that?
