I've been a school governor and I can say, that I would want to know about this. Technically, there is nothing that the school can do based upon this from a disciplinary perspective as it has nothing to do with his work or the teaching skills, but a decent board would ensure they at least have a conversation with the teacher about this behaviour and about the caution. Bodsys Brake Bible

The more I think about this and his actions, and read other replies I think it needs to be brought to the schools attention

But if he takes this type of action against a neighbour, someone who people normally get on with, then what IF a pupil does what some do and makes him a butt of a joke, we have all done it to some degree, I squirted my metal work teachers lab coat with oil, unfortunately for me he was wearing it at the time

What if he takes offence and some young boy or girl gets a hiding or whatever from him as he lashes out because it's been bubbling away on his warped mind, just like the your actions caused him to bubble away and seek revenge on your loan car

Remember "Revenge is a meal best served cold".

I'd caution against thumping seven bells out of the guy; the police may become involved and, since they'd treat the incident based on its own circumstances you might find you're left carrying the can.

Since he's obviously a less than rational character be aware that you may escalate matters to your own detriment.

Whatever you decide be careful about the laws of libel and defamation when you circulate your 'evidence'.

Obviously we don't know anything about any circumstances, you or him so we just speculate; if it was me I'd write to him explaining you concerns about...
a) his future behaviour towards you, your family or your property,
b) that you're considering sharing the video information with his employers and need a reason from him why you shouldn't,
c) that you're considering notifying the Social Services because you have reservations that, being prone to loosing his temper his child might be on danger.

I'd be really reluctant to actually do any of these things (especially the last one) but your aim is one of deterrence and to nip future issues in the bud.
