For sale is my lovely Range Rover Sport HSE 2.7 TDV6 as listed above.
I purchased this vehicle in January 2014 and have now reluctantly decided to sell it due to moving house. It’s the second Range Rover Sport I have owned and it will be a sad day to see it leave but I’ve got to put my wife and kids first.
I purchased the vehicle having full Land Rover dealer service history which I have had verified by contacting the dealership in the service book and confirming with the VIN number. At the point of sale in January the garage which I purchased the vehicle from serviced the vehicle prior to collection by myself.
I have always used a local independent Land Rover Specialist to look after this vehicle and my previous RRS. In the short time I have owned this vehicle I have fitted new side steps (January 2014), had the rear brakes stripped, cleaned and rebuilt (February 2014), new wiper blades and Tow Bar electrics fitted (March 2014) to enable a number plate/ light board to be fitted on my bike rack.
The vehicle bodywork, interior and engine are in excellent condition for the year. The wheels are very good condition with only a few minor curb scratches to the outer rims as expected. The tyres are also in good condition. There is a full size spare alloy wheel.
As this is an honest sale I must point out a couple of issues which I consider to be important (which a lot of people may fail to mention which I realised when viewing over a dozen sports before buying this one)
The front bushes will require attention in the near future as there is minor wear beginning to develop. I have had this professionally inspected and I am told that everything is fine and safe to use and is quite normal for this vehicle. This work has been priced up which is reflected in the reduced sales value.
The other minor issue is that the suspension lamp illuminates intermittently (approximately 30 seconds to a minute) from ignition. I have looked into this problem as you may be able to see from my previous posts and feel that the issue is on the dryer end of the compressor. The vehicle still raises and lowers which tells me the compressor itself is fine. However I have priced the compressor to be replaced and this has also been reflected in the reduced sales value.
The timing belt has not been replaced to my knowledge, this was on my ‘to do list’ regardless. This has also been factored into the reduced cost of the vehicle.
I would have naturally had these sorted by the local independent Land Rover garage had I been keeping the vehicle however due to the impending house move I simply cannot justify spending at a time when my solicitor seems to own my cheque book.
The vehicle is currently in the process of having the private registration plate transferred back to the vehicles age related number plate.
Priced to sell: £12850
I would not like to sell any vehicle without an honest listing hence the attractive price.

2006 so grab a bargain  Working with Virgin Trains and band of Brothers/Sisters to do something special for our injured servicemen and women

Thank you Mr Crabtree. I have thought long and hard at pricing it correctly. It's got to be the most honest sales pitch of a Range Rover Sport on the market. The car is absolutely fine as it is but I may even have the work done and readjust the price if it's slow to sell. I will post some more pictures including interior pictures ASAP.

How much to fix outstanding issues any Idears Please.

Hi. I have listed the work including Parts and Labour from our local independent Land Rover Specialist.
Replacement Front Arms (Incorporating the bushes) inc. 4 wheel alignment £760 (+Vat)
Suspension Fault (I priced up the worse case scenario - Compressor replacement) £630 (+Vat)
Timing Belt £280 (+Vat)
The total is approximately £2000. (I have knocked off £2900 from the price I would have been asking had these not required attention in the near future)
I have considered having this work done then listing the vehicle for £15750 as the vehicle will then be in excellent order. This is the second Range Rover Sport I have owned and these problems happen to every Sport on the roads. Once these jobs are completed they should not require your attention for many years to come.

Hi. My apologies for the late response with regards to the listing and all the interested parties.
In between the house move, holidays and children etc (which has been the most stressful time of my life hahaha) I decided to have all the work carried out on the vehicle and I can honestly say it feels like new. I decided to keep the vehicle as it was too good to give away really. The love affair is back on!
I would like to thank everyone who contacted me via PM's. When I decide to sell this vehicle I will definitely post here first to give you enthusiasts the first chance.
On a final note, anyone living with the front arms/ bushes needing attention GET THEM DONE! It transformed the vehicle back to what it should be. The suspension fault was down to the failing compressor and has been replaced. The cambelt was also changed along with a service. The car feels rock solid and is a total pleasure to drive to the therapist I am still visiting with regards to the bill. Only kidding, its worth every penny.
