Towing with RRS

I purchased my first RRS 4.4 a month ago great car
I just used it for the first time to pull my twin axle caravan which weighs around 1900 kg
I have used several different vehicles to do this including 2 ford galaxy's both 2.8 which returned around 17 to the gallon
I also had 2 different model grand Cherokees a 2.7 diesel and a later 3 litre diesel merc v6 engine
I'm getting around 16.2 mpg around town when the wife drives it and around 14 if I drive as I have a heavy foot
To my amazement when pulling the caravan it returned around 16 mpg which after all the other cars dropped in consumption I expected the same thing from the RRS
I guess as such a big engine it doesn't matter what I'm pulling
With all the other cars I have also had to load the caravan near perfection so as to stop the caravan throwing the car around
This was not a problem with the RRS
To sum this up what a great towing vehicle
Just thought I'd share this with other RRS owners

The one thing I have noticed with the RRS, is that it's to bloody easy to tow with !

So easy to forget you have the tin tent, and creep up over 70mph, as it's effortless.

I can see why there are quite a few 4X4 towing accidents....................... Cruise control is my friend.

TDV8, and around 21 mpg towing a 1475kg single axle caravan............ Which is good IMHO.

Is the only car that feels like its in control of the caravan/trailer.
My L200 is steered by the caravan in most conditions. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜

Even though I only get 16 mpg towing the caravan I just love the sound of the v8
When towing at 65 the engine is running under 2000 rpm
So not doing any work at all
Plus when I need extra power it's there
