2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Santorini Black

How to use coordinates for sat nav

Going to Southern Ireland and they don't use postcodes, they have given me the following. Latitude 52.304510 Longitude -6.493371. I've tried to use these but the sat nav only allows 5 digits and I can't see how to get a minus - anybody got the answer, don't want to put my Tom Tom on the screen. Not sure how you input minus or West without looking at the manual.

You need to convert to degrees - minutes seconds. For example here: http://transition.fcc.gov/mb/audio/bickel/DDDMMSS-decimal.html

- minus means West.

I've tried the converter. And it the result was Lat 52, 18.16.236 Lon -6 29 36135 but my sat nav will only allow 6 digits !!!! I must be doing something wrong ??? MY 13 3.0 SDV6 HSE Black Edition

No problem. Just round the seconds. The coordinates for you should be as follows:

Lat N 52 18 16 [16.236 rounded to 16]
Lon W 06 29 36 [36.135 rounded to 36]

Change the country on the sat~nav to Ireland. I have had no problem when there. Great pint of Guinness. MY11 Autobiography supercharged. Santorini Black. Monaco interior. Rear screens. Privacy.
