After 7 years of ownership the time has come to finally say goodbye to my much loved RRS. She is a TDv8 Sport, Rimini Red, Black Leather, Full LRSH and all paperwork. Owned by me from new since January 2007. Has been fault free throughout life except for a replacement turbo 3 years ago. 117,000 miles and still drives like new. No problems, issues or damage at all with this car. I usually keep cars for 2 years but loved this one so much I couldn't think of anything I would rather have. Have 2 sets of wheels and tyres (summer and winter) in pretty good condition and plenty of tread. Car near Newcastle upon Tyne. Not researched the market to establish value yet so open to offers. I think the rules require a price to be set so I suggest £14,500.

Pictures from today. Vehicle is in very good condition inside and out. Vehicle has these 19" wheels with winter tyres (Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snow) and the 20" 7 spokes with Continentals on (not show but in fair condition). I also have a set of RRS alloys & conti's from a 2010 model in very good condition that I can also include. Number plate not included.

Ok, doesn't seem to be attracting any interest here. Can anyone suggest a good way to find a new owner for this beautiful car ? I already have a Fiesta ST now as my daily drive, so can't trade her in.

The usual sites, Auto Trader, Ebay or Pistonheads, all have their own downfalls from my experience.. Auto trader usually gets canvassers ringing you to say they have a buyer for you if you advertise with them Even if you put NO CANVASSES in your advert. Ebay I´ve found to be the better out of the three for selling And Pistonheads, you usually get someone from Nigeria offering you several pounds more for it via their agent in the Uk Which is obviously a scam. Its a good car and someone will be along soon to buy it off you. GLWTS.

That is a shame Smarticus. It's rare to find a 1 owner car of this age and condition and I think it's worth your asking price all day long.

Have you tired the usual Pistonheads, Autotrader etc. I sold my late father in laws X Type very quickly to the trade on AT and didn't have any tyre kickers at all. You can use a 'tele safe' number so the purchasers don't get your mobile for home numbers. GLWS. FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy

Hello I am looking for my first RRS Im interested but have an issue with mileage 117k I have never owned a RRS so dont know what to look for in a good car. Have you had all issues addressed. Ray, you are welcome to have my car inspected or speak to the LR specialist who has serviced the vehicle for the last 4 years. The vehicle has been used on my 25 mile commute to work each day plus business journeys (so not lots of short, start, stop trips). She has no known problems. The vehicle has no body damage or rust and has never been in any accidents at all. The only issue she every had was one turbo replaced 3 years ago and a few changes of bushes on front anti roll bars (about every 2 years). I will happily get a full mot before sale. Car has never towed anything and she has never been used off road. She has huge amounts of torque and accelerates like a sports car albeit I am a pretty sedate driver (well in to my 50's) but it is fantastic to have the overtaking ability this vehicle provides. And 2 sets of good wheels and tyres (one summer and one winter) are included. I live near Hexham but stay in Ambleside most weekends if you want to come see / try her.

Plenty of people on here can vouch for the longevity of a well cared for RRS (every service done at correct intervals by a LR specialist) and let you know what to look for. RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

Hi Smartus,
I am working solid till I go on holiday so no free days to visit you I am on Holiday from the 22nd July to the end of August Cornwall.
My car Has my private plate on so will take two weeks can not do until I get back as need car to tow Caravan.
If You still have it for sale after this date I will buy it for an agreed price. It is impossible time frame for me just not enough time to buy.
If you sell before I am back great. if not let me know and thank you for your info.

Well Ray, I think you are wasting an opportunity and Smarticus's time. I am sure you could spare a day this weekend to look at his RRS and do a deal, even if it was conditional on his offered inspection. Why not take 4 weeks holiday instead of 6 weeks? In the meantime, you will be driving your gutless girly CRV holding up all the traffic when you could be driving a car made for a man.
