United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

Guess I'm used to the old Audi, the Distance to go indicator used to give you "reward Miles" =) in as much as you drove it frugally and the distance to go before filling went up! Not so with RRS, it's more a race to empty with no bonus miles for driving nicely.=(

I'm typically filling up with ~£90 with 80 or so miles to go. and again ~380 miles covered. (Actual 24.7MPG)

Actual MPG calculations show the dash indicator to be out by as much as 20%.

Maybe as well as having to take measures to stop people nicking my front and back lights there's a problem with diesel fairies also! Wink

Thanks for responses.
(Even the TDV8 boys Whistle All good fun)

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Santorini Black

Just had a run down to Peachy's neck of the woods on saturday Shocked Bloody hell, more roadworks on the M6 & M5 than the rest of the motorway network in the UK put together Whistle Glad i don't travel down there very often. However i zeroed my trip computer and mpg counter and thought i'd see what the old girl was doing to the gallon. Over the 185 mile distance that i had so far travelled, i checked the computer while yet in another 50 mph speed limit on the M5 and the computer was showing 35 mpg Thumbs Up By the time i got home, total mileage covered, 290, my average mpg was 33.2 mpg. Not bad for a big 4x4.

Did a 195 mile round trip today. About 1% usual London traffic and 99% on motorways/dual carriageways. Aircon, fridge, TV, stereo, phones charging all the time. Didn't reset the computer so don't know what it thought of the trip but filled to the brim before and after. My calculations show I got 35 mpg "real" consumption Shocked

Ok, I know I'm one of the TDV8 gang, but after coming back from Somerset (235 miles), the computer showed 34mpg!!! Haven't checked it manually, but even with the % over it shows this is fantastic MPG, although I was trying to get the best I could.

Agreed, 34 is excellent for a V8 even with 10% margin.

In my case, I wasn't even trying Wink

Weather must have played a big part in this improvement.

Ady, if you down the M5, you can't have been too far from me Laughing
My V8 wouldn't do more than 25 at "normal" speeds, drive it at 65 on cruise and it would do 32/33 regularly. Best I can get out of the barge is 27. Big Cry mind you they are all better than my new Mocedes Censored with 208 kph on the clock it's managing 5.4. Prey to he up above it gets better as engine frees up, it should do 8 apparently Rolling with laughter 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜

Simple1 you will only possible see that on a motorway run. Never check my mpg looking at about £1000.00 a week in fuel costs, try to leave it almost empty at night it is easier to steal diesel from HGV than it is to steal LR lights. So you are now digital tachometer and your CPC up to date Thumbs Up

In January 2013 I drove to the Algarve and back over 3 weeks, we covered 2,700 miles and averaged 59 mph and 30 mpg, I've since had it remapped and getting 3 or 4 mpg better and about 300 bhp, Very Happy
