That'd be a bonus in my opinion.
Call me old fashioned, but I know when it is dark outside or raining. I'm perfectly capable of turning a switch when I deem it necessary.

Sorry it doesn't help you with the problem of non functioning functions though. Maybe a fuse blown? I'm in the shed, I'll be back in the real world in a minute.
