New owner - MY10 TDV8

Hello all

I have just become the very happy owner of a 2010 RRS TDV8 and given that I received some help from the forum in my pre-purchasing research, thought I would introduce the car to the forum. Spec as follows;

Galway Green with almond premium leather, ivory stitching
12,000 miles
Highlights include Sunroof, TV, Extended leather and heated steering wheel!

Delighted with it so far, only slight disappointment is the 'Premium ICE' which sounds very weak and muddy compared to the system in my Z4 coupe. Have exhausted the forum looking for upgrades and it seems I will just have to live with it!

Does anyone know how I can remove the CD holder from the glove box - with full ipod integration it seems like a waste of highly valuable storage!

Many thanks

Will

PS. pics will follow if anyone's interested

Hi William, nice spec car. I picked up my MY10 TDV8 just over a week ago and it really is a car to put a smile on your face!
Look forward to seeing the pictures mate. Thumbs Up (mine doesn't have the TV Big Cry )

I'm very surprised the premium ice is weak. Mine kicked rear end both in logic7 and normal mode and that was the older system. Even my current full fat sounds ok. Might be worth checking the sound settings followed by making sure the subs are working in the boot lid. Sounds like there is definitely something wrong Whistle 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜

Welcome Bow down

I removed cd rack on last rrsport - think it just pulled out or had to squeeze piece to release Confused

I have had sub woofer replaced on current rrsport but even now anything above half distortion and vibration is unbearable - pretty disappointed considering cost of model or adding as extra. Hse My10 I had was ok I think Neutral Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Still hoping for a S2 one day!

Thanks for the welcome all, I will have a look at the CD rack again!

I'm pretty sure the sub works (I can just about tell the difference as I turn it up on the dash) but the clarity and mid range is just terrible...o well, guess I will have to take the z4 when I want to listen to something!

Ozziev1980 - I love the TDV8 sound, having had TVR's and other petrol V8s in the past I could NOT have a 6 pot! Dad has had FFRR TDV8s since they were released so I knew I would like the engine!

A couple of picture below;

New owner today...

Picked up my TDV8 2007 Grey 66K logic 7 etc today. First time 4x4 owner yet feel I have some degree of 'expertise' thanks to all here who've replied to my various queries over the past month or so.

I am stunned by this car. Managed 28mpg at a steady 70 on the way back from picking it up yet goes like the clappers when required with no drama. Drives like a flying carpet. With a sensational sound system. Bow down
