Gibraltar 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Stornoway Grey
Spare wheel

My black spare wheel, which originally came with the car has a big sticker on it saying " max speed 50 mph or 80 kph" but it's a full size wheel with a 255/50 x 19" tyre on it! The wheels are 275/45x20. Why restrict the speed on a full size wheel.

Are these wheels standard size/ strength?

Regards

there's not much difference in circumference... and the 275 width 20's are normally 40 profile, not 45, and this makes size even closer.... 5.0 Ltr Superchrged RRS2, Chile Red, Sideways out of junctions!
TDV8 HST Stornaway on a 08.. remapped.. now gone and replaced, was a mighty fine car..

It's elf and safety, I'm sure LR are just covering their back side in case something did happen with the spare on, although proving you were doing over 50 would be be a challenge for them I guess Confused ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i
