Gonna bite the bullet and buy a 2.7 ...I hope I don't regret

Hello people......I had a L322 4.4 HSE in the past,it was only 4 yrs old when I got it with 70k on the clock.....I always wanted one so bought a minter.....after the on board computer showing 7mpg it gave me sleepless nights from day one .....I got it converted to LPG which helped but had one problem after the other with the gearbox......got it fixed after I reported the garage to the trading standards then I sold it straight away........I wanted a Sport back then but it was well out of my price range.......but now I see they are as cheap as chips these days......I am looking for a 55 plate 2.7 for the cheaper tax bracket....it will be my company car so all the expenses get put through the books anyway but I just begrudge paying £480 ........so,I hope I will not regret buying the Sport like I did the 4.4 HSE

Welcome along Smile

Despite my username, personal tax isn't my speciality, but have you done the math to make sure you are not better off owning the car and claiming mileage. I know a lot of people that do it this way now as it works out far more beneficial - worth taking a look if you've not checked Thumbs Up

Anyway, good luck with your new sport Smile ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i
MERCEDES GL350 - Metallic Navy Blue w/Grey interior

GOING: BMW F31 335D MSport+ xDrive Touring

I don't get too involved with the figures......and I have no idea what my cars cost me........I have been sole trader since 1998 and have always had a car through my business,if I have a good financial year then I usually upgrade my car.i put all my fuel receipts and any other costs insurance/servicing etc through the books......I think I am claiming back 85% of my fuel at the moment with the other 15% being for personal use.my accountant is coming on Monday so I will ask him how much it is costing me.....at the moment I have a 2011 2.2 Ford S-Max Titanium X-Sport which I will sell to fund the RRS

England 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Siberian Silver

Hi mate- I brought a 55 plate 2.7 4 months ago. My first ever Range Rover and I love it. I think they've aged really well, stick a private plate on and they don't look anywhere near 9 years old

Hi there,

Can we not tempt you to a 4.2 SC?

What mileage do you do a year?

S

You either get a good one or a bad one.....you can guess which end of the stick I got.....the gearbox fault was common knowledge but of course Land Rover new nothing about it Rolling Eyes so common that one of my friends had the same problem TWICE ....on his old box and a new box that he had fitted.........I had LPG convention and had no problems ....engine was to on .....but the engine is no good unless the gearbox works with it lol

England 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Nara Bronze

I've had an 06 HSE since new and 69,000 miles. It's been an excellent car, the biggest cost being fuel, I average 20mpg around town or 28mpg on a run. Tyres and brakes etc have been very reasonable, i'll be sorry to see it go.
As already said, stick a private plate on and no one will know it's 8 years old. 2014 Nara Bronze SDV6
GONE TDV6 HSE RRS in Giverny green,Ebony interior, Side steps,Tints, PTI, Tow pack, mud flaps, Side strips and Dynamics pack.

To be honest I wasn't getting much more than my mates v8 rrs from my diesel Sad I wouldn't have another 2.7 but I'd definitely try a petrol in the future when I'm not doing so many miles!

To add I sold my 2.7 as I couldn't live with the mpg while doing 2500 miles a month.
