I put a quote requst in at Warranty direct and they came up with the usual £930 figure..i told them to Censored off so they came back to me with a cheaper product...12 months cover for all major parts, £200 ph labour etc...only thing is...car must be attended by RAC AA ect first and that my cars service is carried out by a vat registered garage....this policy costs....£135

I always put in a quote request with warranty companies well before I need the cover as I know the offers will come in thick and fast after 30 days.

I've also seen the warranty lite offer at £135 but was concerned at the number of times they referred to roadside assistance breakdowns.

The way I saw it was if you had any issues at home or if the vehicle went into limp mode you were on your own!

In my opinion your far more likely to have a fault not requiring roadside assistance and so the full warranty was the better deal. 2011 Evoque Si4 Dynamic plus lux

the guy I bought the RRS from had a warranty with them, turned out to be utter Censored mate.
Pay the money for a L/R health check and take out a warranty with them.

That will be one of the 'lite' packages.

More info here:

http://www.warrantydirect.co.uk/bri.html

I was offered that package by one of the WD sales team however, I opted for the full extra care warranty which covers pretty much everything and includes wear & tear cover. 2014 L405 SDV8 RR Autobiography Cool

The policy costs £135, but will cover upto £200 p/h of labour.

I suspect there will be many exclusions in the small print, and will do everything they can to wriggle out of paying, as per every other warranty company out there... That said, it could turn out to be a bargain!

Can't comment about this 'lite' policy but Ive had my RRS covered with WD for 3 years and have had no bother with them covering every claim, including an alternator and front suspension bushes, as long as the work is authorised first. FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy

Dont go near any of the warranty companies.
Go for the Land Rover extended warranty, It's more expensive, but it is the best Thumbs Up

I've taken one out with Warranty Direct recently, it cost me £700 but it was the all singing all dancing policy.

I couldn't take the Land Rover policy out as my warranty had already ran out and you can only extend if you are within your current warranty.

You can get LR warranty even after your current warranty expires but you have to pay a dealer (on top of warranty cost) to inspect the car for any existing problems.

Yes that is correct.
The Land Rover extended warranty, allows me to take the car, to any VAT registered garage, for servicing, etc, but I must take the car, back to the main dealer, for the MOT.

Why do LR have to do the mot?
I've had a LR warranty and made claims and never had the car mot'd at the stealers.

Is it a new thing Shocked
