I think we've all been fleeced here Laughing its a photoshop of an evogue and the guy is just getting a lot of free advertising by posting it as a joke Laughing do we really think L/R would get a grotty back street garage to do tints on their secret model Question If anything L/R would make him come to them and no camera's would be allowed anywhere near. Well, they released the first Sport with the 2.7 and that had less power than an opposition politician! Some modern 2 litre diesels are making the same power as the 2.7 and the new vehicle will be nearly half a tonne lighter than the current version. A 2 litre would make some sense. However, I think they're talking about the possible Evoque XL rather than new Sport. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

funny though, on the piston heads website there are over 400 votes on the image itself, it has only scored 3.4 out of 10
So if you are reading this Mr Land Rover, do not release this car in this configuration, as clearly no one likes it at all.....

I think that's the car that Land Rover are going to drive through Manhattan on March 26th. It's exactly the same colour as the teased image. I've driven behind a camouflaged version of the RRS and that is the car I saw. The back was the obvious thing that stood out - like the Evoque.

The 2.0 litre diesel makes sense, though I would have thought it would be the 2.2 diesel.

The Mercedes ML entry level car is a 2.1 diesel (204 bhp & 44.8 mpg) and is very popular. The new BMW X5 (F15) is rumoured to also have a 2.0 diesel (218bhp approx. 48mpg) this time around as the entry model.

If they put a twin turbo on the 2.2 engine or tune it better they may take it up from 190bhp now (Evoque) to 210bhp? Then with a much lighter car that would probably compare similarly with the 255bhp in the SDV6 now but with an 8 speed gearbox significantly better economy than 32mpg as now.

0-100 kph on 2.1 Mercedes is 9.0 seconds.

0-100 kph on 3.0 SDV6 is 8.9 seconds.

Then they just need a speaker in the exhaust (a la Audi V6 bi-turbo diesel) and who would know the difference!?

I agree with Ady. This picture looks dodgy to me. I do not believe that Land Rover will make any last minute changes to the car outside the factory. 2008 TDV8, Java Black, Ebony Sports Seats, Side Steps, Zebrano, Privacy Glass, Premium ICE, Hybrid TV.

Don't forget this is a company with great engineers but had some input off Posh Spice Rolling with laughter with the Evoque. It looks like someone decided to have the windscreen tinted and front windows to make it look COOL at the launch. Heads will role, or sould do Rolling Eyes RANGE ROVER SPORT 2008
