United States 2011 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Fuji White
2014 NEW CAR OPINION Needed

Hi Everyone,

I have really enjoyed my time as a sport owner the last 6 years. However, like many on this site, it is time to move on. After some terrible service and reliability from corporate I have let go of my love for the Range Rover line up. I hope none of you ever have to deal with the things I have in the last 4 months because it has been a nightmare.

I was in an accident where some parts needed to be ordered and they have not come in until today since november. There is still one part which is not supposed to be here until end of APRIL!!!! There has been so much lying and dishonesty from all at corporate. A replacement vehicle was not even offered for rental let along compensation for my crazy car rental bill. The issue could take up the entire screen but I dont want to go into it for your or my sake.

On the upside, this event has given me an opportunity to upgrade the range rover to a sportier car!

I am looking between two cars and it would be great to have all of your opinions.

LEAVING (Good grief!)
2011 RRS Supercharged Fuji White

Deciding between:

1. 2014 BMW 650i Xdrive Black on Black-
the BMW lists at 103,000.00 and some change. I really like the 445 hp motor, gt car looks, two door, and nice interior.

2. 2014 Mercedes CLS 63 AMG 4 matic Black on Black-
This car is available for order this week at my dealer and I will most likely have to wait an additional month than the BMW. The 2014 year comes with 4 wheel drive finally and the 518 hp motor upgraded to 550 hp base with the S model being 585. The base is what I am going for and pricing is not released but based on the 2013 car, it will be right near 102,000.00 and change. I like the AMG factor, great looks , and 4 wheel drive. Not so sure about 4 doors though and the extra wait.

If you could all let me know of your opinion that would be great because I am really torn.

Thanks everyone! Current:

2011 Merc S550 Diamond White (amg sport pkg)

Hi, nice choice of cars to pick from, if it was my money it would be the AMG every time, I'm sure the BMW is a stunning & capable car but I couldn't see past the AMG if I had the choice, just my 2p worth Mr. Green

Good luck Thumbs Up

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Cairns Blue

As usual I done it ar** backwards. Had succession of AMG's starting with C36, which was a great car then two C32 which were about the same build quality as LR, E55 estate which was great apart from a clonk from rear that couldn't be resolved and the a SL55 which was pants. Proper hairdresser car.
I would go BMW as from what I read, Merc are still having build quality issues and the CLS just doesn't look right Whistle bit like an X6, doesn't know what it wants to be.....
As for LR sourcing parts, they tell you what you want to hear but not always what you should hear, Embarassed 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜

England 2012 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Autobiography Orkney Grey

I'm visiting my parents in the Middle East at the moment and have been using their ML63 AMG for a couple of months. I'd go for the AMG every time based on exhaust note alone. Personally, I think the CLS is a much better looking car than the BMW, particularly in AMG form. I would caution you that it's very difficult not to have a heavy right foot with the AMG and that has a noticeable effect on fuel consumption (I think I managed to get it down to 6mpg at one point. Not an issue when fuel is £0.16/litre (about $0.7/gallon) but a definite consideration in the real world. May also be worth bearing in mind that compared to the 650i, the AMG is the tuned version of the CLS which brings about more expensive/more frequent service intervals.
