United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Autobiography Stornoway Grey

Welcome Mr G in NYC, have seen a few of your posts on RR.net

Not sure about the filter, best bet is to PM Turbo chip, just look him up in the members section at the top of the page. L319 D4 HSE

Having done about 120 miles now with the air filter fitted to my car I think I can truthfully say that it does seem to be making a difference. The fuel usage is not quite so bad as normal. Now I could be misleading people here as it could just be that my car is getting better as it runs in more, but, my average is staying above the 17mpg mark, whereas before it was dropping to the low 16's.

As far as noise/sound go etc, not really noticed much, but you do get a warm fuzzy feeling that the engine is breathing easier. That of course is all in my head!

I did read a disturbing post though that such oil coated foam filters have been known to cause failures of the Mass Airflow Sensors fitted to cars. The MAF sits on the inlet pipe next to the filter box and monitors air flow/temperature etc and has dramatic affect on the way the car performs. (I had these replaced on my M5 under warranty and it was like a brand new car all over again, astonishing difference) The oil in the filter can end up coating the MAF and therefore altering its readings and potential destroying them for good.

I will be asking TC about this and their stance on it, if there's a chance it COULD do this I shall remove it, MAF's are not cheap at about £250-300 each. Luckily there's only 1 in the S/c engine bay, there was 2 in the M5! Ouch! (for the warranty people anyway Laughing ) L319 D4 HSE

Anyone living in the Midlands I would suggest you call by and see them & collect ITG Filter direct as they are easy to get to. They are next to Coventry airport just off the A45.

From Canada you may find this link usefull.... its from ITG website & lists all distibutors inc. Canada

http://www.itgairfilters.com/distributors2...&ID=33

Or you could phone JE Engineering ( UK )- as in earlier post - and see if they will take visa/mastercard/american express etc & post to Canada ?

FYI

I have just emaile ITG asking them to confirm part/model numbers for any products that they do for the RRS and esp for the Supercharged as there does seem to be some ? over compatability. Also, requested explanation of benefits / costs etc......... I await their reply Confused
