United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey
2008 HST

Hi

Picked this up last week (2008 HST), coming from a BMW 330d MSport. The Beemer was a fantastic car, great handling and acceleration. But the hard suspension and terrible winter manners left me yearning for 4 wheel drive.

The choice was down to an RS4 or an RRS, to be honest the hard suspension of the beemer left me cold on our roads and as a biker, well, I dont consider that many cars to be fast enough to warrant being uncomfortable.

As I said in the intro forum - thank you all for putting your collective experience into this forum, I cannot say how important it is for people like me putting (what I consider) to be a significant chunk of cash into a car.

Anyway - here are a couple of pics...

The only niggles I have are a problem with the bluetooth and the aux input not producing any sound, I will pick these up in the appropriate forum.

Nice car bud congrats! Cool Im a new owner myself ( 3 weeks) and I have to say Im over the moon with mine. Smile Ive come from a RS6 and had two RS4's in the past and I was worried about the complete difference in both power and handling but Im loving the Sport now and its presence, practicality and overall level of comforts. I live in the sticks and its a muddy existance where the RRS excels and it cant wait for the snow and rain! Im very suprised how well the Sport handles to be honest and the V8 pulls really well for a big lump and overtakes with ease when in S mode which again suprised me a lot. Overall I agree its a lot of cash to dish out but I am happy you get a lot of car back in return. Time will tell if the " love" is long term Smile Let us know on the Aux niggle mine is likewise on the blink.

Ahaha - you Censored - not too keen myself but didn't think they were very noticeable. Laughing

I am already trawling the internet looking for "bling".....

I suspect the better half is going to be giving me disapproving looks over the CC statement at the end of the month (and the next one)!
