Paid £725 last year and have claimed for a new alternator and front lower suspension arm bushes - totalling about £850. Got the renewal quote this morning for...................£675, same cover, same excess and that's before we start haggling  FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy

Bradders, it's the law of averages, you have had 2 claims this year, so odds are you won't have a claim this year! You could play them at their own game by not covering yourself this year, and take it out again next year.......

Ha ha, very true!, but it is the way they seem to work!, I had my garage broken into a year ago and submitted a claim for my (£1800) bike , didn't bother with any other claim for tools, but come renewal time the agent said my current insurer would not insure me, but he had found one who was cheaper even with the claim. They realise that that probably won't happen again for a while, so their money is safe!!

After haggling im getting a quote of £575 for the extra care cover with free emissions/sat nav cover thrown in. Be interesting to see what other members have achieved ?!
