How do you keep ivory leather clean

I am just changing to a car with Edony/Ivory interior.

How do people keep the Ivory clean?

Is Auto Glym Life Shine traerment any good?

Thank you Andrew

Get yourself some GTechniq L1, it's worked brilliantly on my ivory seats protecting them from dye transfer from jeans. Bow down Thumbs Up

The only other one I'd recommend is from LTT Solutions, they do an 'Auto' leather car pack, so a cleaner and protector - very good products Thumbs Up ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

if the car is not new and has suffered from dye transfer then a pre clean with a good cleaner will help

I believe a test done for a forum member found Meguiers Aloe Leather cleaner was the best cleaner, but the LTT ones are supposed to be good, though i have never used either as i have a Raceglaze leather protection kit

I would then look at GTechniq L1 too Thumbs Up

As long as the leathers good and clean, L1 will do a sterling job Thumbs Up ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Hi
If the leather gets really dirty or has jean transfer on it then use a mix of surfex HD @ 30/70 with water. Use a stiff leather brush and scrub rinsing the brush in hot water. In extremes Ill use a vax steamer to open the pours.

Then dry with microfibres!

Or if the leather isnt too bad a leather cleaner like zaino, gliptone or swissvax will do the trick to get it clean

Then feed with zaino z-10 or my favourite swissvax leather milk. I have had L1 for quite some time and never really rated it. Also I find its best to protect leather with natural products. For me its got to be elephant fat as its just works so well, and leaves a lovely matte finish.

Hope this helps.

Mike Always clean.

Also do not get life shine fitted to your car. It cost about £4.00 on ebay and lasts about a week. If the car is prepped properly (i.e. decontaminated, clayed, iron fillings removed, full ipa wipedown) then a good wax or sealant will give you solid protection anywhere between 5-12 months, depending on what you use.

If you want something that packs a punch in durability go with your G-techniq C1 crystal lacquer coats or EXO hybrid coatings. Or even better both!Smile

These you will see between 2-5 years protection depending on if you have one or the other or both;)

Hope this helps

Mike Always clean.

surfex cleans leather very well on well soiled leather without the disruption of the hide. Its just how you use it and at what dilution rate. I have had very expensive cars come back to me 2 years later after surfex had to be used and it was perfectly fine. Proof is in the pudding;)

You are right they dont need feeding but it does reduce the time taken for them to go shiney and keeps the car smelling of leather. Always clean.
