I guess a lot of us have noticed that JLR seem to be backtracking on the separate Range Rover Brand which was very much in evidence last year with the evoque launch - little or no Land Rover Badges on the car, dealers having separate Range Rover and Land Rover badges.

Looks Like for today's launch of the all new Full Fatt that Land Rover branding is back and they are even closing down the RR Facebook feed ... wonder what made them decide to do a U turn. 2011 MY- RRS HSE - Zermatt -Ebony-Piano .... its a monochrome world

I thought they were actually going to seperate the FF section off in the delerships when they were all upgraded last year to keep us and the other riff raff out ? MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

personally i think they realise they made a mistake .... how a 30k RR EvoquePure was supposed to be more premium than a D4 HSE i'll never know.

I think also a lot of rural LR dealerships in the UK just don't have the space

The Range Rover sub-brand started to die when they launched the Sport (being a Discovery in a suit). The Evoque has continued that theme (being a Freelander in Louis Vitton).

I guess the idea is that in future the Range Rover brand will be aimed at those who want a bling 4x4 and the Land Rover brand will be for those who want a working 4x4 vehicle.

Interestingly, the original Range Rover was intended to be a working vehicle, just a nicer place to be than Series LR of the time. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
