remap figures

Not sure if i have got this right but there seems to be a big differance on the figures following a remap. Only really looking at two options, first one is BAS and the other is AMD. Both seem to be highly recommended on here but there seems to be quite a difference in the torque figures. I know its not all about the biggest gains and maybe i have it wrong but this is what i understand it to be.

1. BAS bhp increase 45-50 and torque increase 100-110 nm

2. AMD bhp increase 50-53 and torque increase 191 lbs ft

Figures very similar for bhp but torque seems a big differance, AMDs 191 lb ft is 260 nm against BAS at 100-110nm

This can't be right can it? Have i messed up the calculation between NM and lb ft ?

Has anyone had experience of both? MY16 AUTOBIOGRAPHY Indus silver with some toys

I would say the AMD increase of 191 lb ft is wrong, seems far too high 2007 TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

The AMD figure does seem very high, no point having all that torque if It's not usable tho. Ask if they have any graphs etc so you can see the power curves. Might help you make a decision.

Good idea Ballsy, does anyone know of a friend who has had this done and can shed some light on the figures from their rolling road graph? MY16 AUTOBIOGRAPHY Indus silver with some toys

A quick update regarding the power and torque increases for the 3.6TDV8. Having spoken to AMD they have quoted approx 50 bhp increase in power and approx 90 lbs ft increase in torque (90 lbs ft =120 nm and not 191 lbs ft =260 nm as the web site says)

So as expected the figures are now very similar between BAS and AMD.

Having mentioned the difference quoted on the web site "ye it's a typing error"

So at least we know now MY16 AUTOBIOGRAPHY Indus silver with some toys

South Africa 2012 Range Rover Sport Supercharged HSE Alaska White

After a remap and decat, we are getting 502nm on the wheels according to our local dyno.

With remap + decat 146.3kw @ 3067 502nm @ 2517
Std map + decat 134.5kw @ 3077 470nm @ 2236

these are actual readings (uncorrected) at 1500m above sea level on a 2007 model with 100,000km on the odo

a huge difference to the quoted flywheel figures of 200kw and 640nm Smile
