I think the answer to that is very subjective.

Also a strange comparison IMO. For me, it's comfy, lazy, fairly cheap to run (coming from 911 ownership), lots of aftermarket bits to keep me interested and practical should I need to give lifts / move furniture / dead bodies etc... Whistle 2007 TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Have you tried a sport?if not once you have you will know why.One of our freinds have just changed their TdV8 for a Q7,as nice as the Q7 is,it just doesn't give you THAT feeling Confused Still they will just have to make do with a couple of their other runabouts for that.A Bentley and a Ferrari Rolling Eyes

From the point of view of someone who doesn't yet own one I think no other 4x4 comes close. I've test driven Q7s, ML's and the T5 and although some may have higher specs they don't have that feeling you get when in a RRS.

I don't look at a vw T5 and think what a machine, the RRS has a real presence on the road I don't think anyone's given a vw a second look when it's gone past you. Obviously that sounds quite snobby but I'd rather be up here than in th gutter!

mate of mine runs T5's in his business and bought a matching caravelle for his mrs to ferry the kids around in, it looks great but it is a van at the end of the day, she's desperate for a 4x4 Laughing

My point is that I have been a vdub nut for years, but have also owned a classic rangey for about 10 years, and thought I might go for a sport. I have also asked the opposite question on my local VW site to get their opinion. Classic owner, but soon to be a Sport.

If you want a van, then have look at the pikey wagons D3 & D4s Censored Whistle In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.
