Yup, although don't do it too soon as its quite a low ratio, I nearly stuck Mrs BC through the screen when I selected it too soon on the approach to a junction Laughing ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

See if the novel helps you first. I have no experience of the 2.7 TDV6, but many have commented on here that it's worthwhile. Thumbs Up ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

I have the chance of buying a 'Chip Express' tuning box. Simply plug and play claiming increased performance and reduced fuel consumption for a 2.7.

Has anyone used one and had positive results?

Personally, I'd only ever consider an ECU remap, as these boxes just generally fool the engine into supplying different fuel levels without any regard for the engines limits etc.
Given that the RRS isn't the most reliable car out there Whistle I'd want to make sure any upgrades were carried out for my car, not just a generic box plugged in. Smile ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Most ecu remaps are generic anyway, It's only when you start live mapping that's It's tailored to your exact car.
There is a lot of people who rave about these type of boxes, bluefin from superchips seems to get very good reviews and Im sure It's a plug and play type arrangement with switchable maps.

Agreed Ballsy, if I was to consider a remap on mine, I'd see AMD and have a live map done Thumbs Up ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i
