mine does it too

not sure it's the FBH, it just sounds like ignition "things" carrying on a tad longer before shutting down... RRS gone

Would be good to know what it is though - although I'm happy that it is perfectly normal...

It's the Land Rover Pixies running around turning everything off behind the dash...... No really... It is...... Whistle Or at least that's how I explained it to my 3 year old when he asked why my car was still working after I'd turned it off! Laughing 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

Every 2.7 and 3 tdv6 does it, i think the tvd8 did it.

I dont know what it is, but imagine its all the electrical systems, shutting or spinning down etc Mike

Someone told me that it is the turbo vanes being opened and closed, and someone else told me its the turbo being oiled. I dunno but can confirm that our TDV8 has always done it too.
It's like a weeep-wooo, weeep-woo kind of sound. How do you describe a sound?

Both sound plausible; the latter would be very good for longevity.

The EGR valves are cycled on shutdown according to the RR manual -

"The modulators (valves) are operated through their full range at each engine shut down, to clear any carbon deposits that may have built up whilst the engine was running".
