United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Santorini Black

5L Supercharged is awesome. I do not have anything to compare it with though, except my first car - Laguna 1.6L Laughing - I do not even remember how many HP is had. Having said that, Laguna served me well except few minor things like 2 gear box changes in 4 years time... Rolling with laughter

It is actually 510HP not 500 Rolling Eyes I use mine on the daily basis. I get about 11mpg in the city and around say 20mpg on the motorway. Drove it through Europe all the way down to Italy and it was a pleasure. With this kind of car you learn to love the journey not just destination. During the long trips, I never got any headache/backache/sore neck. It always - always - has the power to overtake. On the paper it is 5.9sec 0-60, but in reality it is a bit faster. I did it in 5.6 and I know some people claimed to have achieved 5.2.

If you think you can manage 11mpg - take it. Even you think you might find it difficult, buy the car first and decide later Smile You will most likely decide to keep it anyway - its that good. The sound of the engine is relentless and trust me it will talk you into keeping it. Vadim A.

United States 2011 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Fuji White

I drive mine in the city and get around 8 to 10 mpg. I cannot resist hitting it at lights sometimes. The crazy acceleration makes the gas prices sting a bit less when filling it up. The 5.0 is a much smoother engine and actually feels like a sports car, my old 08 RRS felt more like a rig, this is way more refined Current:

2011 Merc S550 Diamond White (amg sport pkg)

Bahrain 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Nara Bronze

5ltr S'charged: Get an exhaust on there (see below), turn the dial to Dynamic Program, whack it in "S" and unleash the 510hp / 517ps / 380kW or whatever that's in there!

ps. petrol is cheaper than water here so not really sure what all this "mpg" talk is about Cool

it is an outstanding car - there is a clip on you tube the 5 against the 4.2...ive also seen it in real life...

When i had a S/C for a few days fuel was free and i didnt care.

that said for me the 35.8mpg means ill stick with my 3.0TDV6...but respect any 5l SC owners Mike

Mine will be 3 years old in December... did a trip round Europe last year, hammered through the Alps using Sport/Dynamic and Paddle shift.... 130mph on the Autobahns did just over 2k miles and averaged 22.5 Bow down

The grin factor at lights when you hammer it Very Happy

Round town is 15mpg

Bad bits, the rear brake callipers rust and look sh!t... cameras are a pain on software updates

Awesome car, nice sound and goes like stink... that said time for a change later this year to an Evoque Dynamic Thumbs Up

I have PM'd you Cheers Laurence.

Did you get it?

At 22,5 mpg the 5.0 SC is just a bit worth than a TDV8, which averages about 26 mpg - fuel consumption in this decision is a no brainer, the grin on your own face is worth the extra bug Thumbs Up

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Santorini Black

Changing in June, and I am soooooo swaying to the 5.0

Local dealer cannot get me a test drive in one...... Mind you I'm still waiting (almost 3 years now) on my land rover experience day....... Hopefully so,e of the other garages in NI can come through, or if I ever see someone who has the 5.0 ill ask them would they take me for a drive!

My 3.0TDV6 has averaged 24mpg over the last year - will the 5.0 really be much worse.

What's the normal miles to a full tank? MY10 HSE 3.0 TDV6 : Santorini Black : Ebony Interior w/Anigre wood : Privacy Glass (total) : Sunroof : Sidesteps : Hybrid TV : Detachable Tow Kit : Spare Wheel Cover : 22" Dished Supersports

The 5 is better than the 4.2 but you will not get the TDV6 MPG - although your 24 does seem low for it. Mike

If you get the 5.0L you are not going to see great mpg if its the speed you are buying it for Laughing anyone getting around 20 mpg in a 5.0L then they arn't driving it right. Whistle you might aswell stick with your 3.0L and get it mapped. Thumbs Up In real terms i'd be surprised if you get 12 mpg in the 5.0L Shocked Could you live with that Question I know i couldn't.

Excellent thread for a newbie to learn from Smile. Am test driving both a 5li and a 3.0 diesel tomorrow - deliberately doing the diesel first as I sense if the drive the supercharged first, I won't bother with the TDV!

As a quick query - where there any material changes between 2010 plate vs 2011 plate models?

Thanks in advance.

Hello bigpimp. If it helps my 4.2. with normal commuting gets around 230 a tank if i drive carefully. But it is hilly around me, whilst driving on the flat around Norfolk and more spirited i got 280 a tank. Apparently the 5
0 is slightly more efficient.
just get one. most people look at the big petrols and never buy one, Bit always think what if.
