Access Mode

Hi all,

Can anybody tell me how much the height of a 2006 RRS supercharged is reduced when access mode is activated?

Still continuing with my garage measuring and looks like I need to hire a sport for the day to be completely happy and sure!

Finally, the official height of the 2006 model is 1816mm but the land rover official site shows the current RRS with a height of 1877mm. Is it true the current model is taller than the 2006 model?

Thanks guys

I think access mode lowers the car by 50mm

The 1.816 is in access mode from floor to top of sat nav antenna

I don't think the new car is any taller no RRS gone

Many thanks for reply.

So I'm a little confused now. The official Land rover site states The following:

Height: 1877mm (this figure is different from all other sources, that being 1816mm which is why I asked earlier is the new RRS taller than the 2006 model I'm looking at buying)
It has an asterix denoting †Access height air suspension setting reduces height given by 50mm to 1,739mm.

None of this makes sense to me unless I'm being really thick Confused

My garage door aperture is 1830mm which is why I'm sounding a little obsessive! Don't want to make an expensive mistake!

Paul, - I have an '06 model Supercharged which fits in my "standard size" garage with an up-and-over-door. I did have similar concerns to you before buying.

Mirrors need to be folded to get through the aperture but once inside the garage, enough room to get in and out, - and raise the bonnet with a little room to spare below the open (and raised) garage door.

I make a point of reversing into the garage and parking the offside as close to the wall as possible then get out / in through the passenger side door. That way if the remote should ever fail I figure that i can still access through the manual lock in the passenger door.

I'll take some measurements of the garage door tomorrow and let you know what size.

Hope this helps. Carl

Laughing - It really not a problem guys, -and much less of a ball-ache than the dreaded remote failure might be when the only manual key access point is through the passenger door Wink

Thumbs Up Carl
