2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HST Java Black
I want my rrs to roar!!

Before the rrs i currently have, i looked at another it was a tdv6 and sounded the dogs Mr. Green How can i get mine to have that noise grunt? It wasn't deafining loud just a lovely roaring sound. The exhaust looked standard sure he said something about removing the silencers? Any one done this?

V6s only roar when they are cold due to the fan....TDV8s roar like a lion in perpetual rutting mode Rolling with laughter

The only way to really make it roar, is get rid of the cats and straight pipe it ... make sure you post vids if / when you do it Thumbs Up

have you considered the mod offered by James LPR?

all you do is


sell the TDV6 to him


and he'll give you a shiny MY10 TDV8 instead

Just decat it and replace with a straight pipe. That's the best the TDV6 will sound.

A decatted TDV8 on the other hand, is glorious!
Had to install an additional muffler per side because of the noise, but now it's an awesome deep rumble that builds to a (almost) scream. And by God it's fast!

Bear in mind you can only remove the CAT from vehicles up to chassis number 7a. At the moment it won't fail an mot, but!! New laws maybe coming in. If you buy a bolt on de cat pipe then as long as you don't mind swapping it back, that is if these new laws come in then it's never a problem.

Think a custom de cat pipe is around £90. then it's a case of unbolting the cat section and replacing the de cat one. Flange on the turbo end is a bit fiddly but apart from that an easy job.
