Carpet peeling off on my A-pillar Inner trim

Hi,

The carpet cover is starting to peel-off on my A-pillar Inner Trim as you can see:

I checked with the dealer and they said this not covered under the "Extended Warranty"

Is that true?

To fix it, I probably just need to pull the whole trim out and re-attach the carpet cover
to the plastic with some glue. Is that a good idea? Will I be messing with the underneath
side curtain airbag?

Not sure on extended warranty cover so i can help with that

i think there is a torx screw behind the 'airbag' badge to remove the pillar trim piece and then its a bit of a tug to pull it off.

But be careful on the glue you use, too much could seep through the fabric, when i have seen fabric work done (on TV, pimp my ride Embarassed ) they often use aerosol spray glue which doing this type of work

So if I remove that trim, I will not in any way be damaging the AirBag? RRS 2007 HSE V8 * Buckingham Blue * Ebony Leather * Cooler Box * Sunroof * Navigation * PTI Bluetooth * Side Steps * Mud Flaps * Body Side Mouldings * V-Kool V70 Heat Insulation Glass Film * Clear Side Repeaters * Color-coded Side Vents + Grille + Door Handles + Door Mirrors * S/C Rear Decals + Door & Steering Emblems * S/C Exhaust Catbacks * Tasmod Sills * Nokia Cradle + Phone * 22" Stormers * 1st Edition Badge Very Happy

just buy a new bit of trim mate they are a few quid off ebay and not much more from the dealers.

If you wann reattach it, the get some evo stick I've done quite a few head cloths in alcantara over the years which granted is slightly thicker but just use a little and ull be fine. Spray glue isn't the best when heat is involved so id stay away from that. Thumbs Up
