Strangely enough LPR have a 19 year old customer who is due to collect their brand new RRS Autobiography early next week. Whistle Wink

We have had young customers in the past who (so I'm told) have pledged a bond with their bank for 3rd party claims. I am unsure exactly how it works, or indeed how much the liability bond needs to be, but if you are with Lloyds of London or Coutts & Co then it would be worth speaking with your contact to see if they can do anything.

I hope this helps?

Yes you can do this to overcome the insurance issue but you are talking £100k bonds, not bad if you're a wealthy arab who's son needs to be insured but if you're unhappy with a 5k quote for insurance say for example you are unlikely to chuck £100k on ice to save a few grand

Try Admrial, i was with them when i had my sport at 21, if you dont mind having a high excess it will lower your premium. If you do a quote on their website you can see what your premium will be at different levels of excess. I also had my parents on the policy as named drivers.
