One touch window switches

My 2006 RRS only has the drivers window as one touch up or down, the rest are all "hold till you get there" switches. My thinking is I should be able to order the one touch switch and replace the others - right? anyone done this or have any ideas?

i found on another site you cannot swap out the switches but does anyone know if a later model RRS has more than the drivers window with one touch capability and if the new swicthes are back compatible with the 2006?

I'd imagine that it's not just the switch that makes one touch windows operate. Me thinks the loom might be different or perhaps the MFU would also need this feature Question

My 08' has 'one touch' up front and 'hold on demand' in the rear.

On my MY11 RRS the passenger and rear windows were all one touch open and close from the driving seat. The drivers window only moved when the button was held in position. After 7 months of this I decided to check the handbook (as you do) to see if this was normal.

In the instructions was mention of a "RESET" for the windows after a battery disconnection. So I opened the drivers window then closed it then held the button up to close for a few seconds. I now have all four windows operating on one-touch.

So if your one-touch windows are not working without holding the switch, try closing then closing again while closed and see what happens.

The early vehicles (pre 2007MY I think) were on-touch only on the driver's window. It's not just a case of changing the switch panel, the motors/regulators are different to support one-touch operation. Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support!
