2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
iPone 4 / bluetooth

Firstly 'Hi to everyone'

New to the forum and new to owning a RRSport so please forgive me for asking daft questions!

I have a 2007 Sport HSE, mine (and my wife's) iPhone worked great when we got the car (running iOS4.1) then the dreadful upgrade to 4.2 happened and everything was a disaster. Now the 'fix' has happened (iOS 4.3) We still have a problem -

Whenever you turn off the ignition and then come to turn it back on again the phone has to be re-paired and the pin entered. Every single time! I have tried deleting the bluetooth memory on my iPhone still nothing. I ask the dealer about it and they had no clue at all! When it is connected everything works really well, voice control the lot.

Can anyone help as it is driving us both mad!!!

Thanks

Si

I'm afraid the 2007 bluetooth module and the I-Phone 4 have a quirky relationship at best.

I'm on OS 4.3 and it works fine most of the time... but my car may have a newer 2010 bluetooth module already fitted by previous owner I'm not sure. This is the accepted solution on Disco 3. RRS gone

Therefore, is it possible to fit a newer bluetooth module that fully integrates with my stereo and voice command system? What I don't want is another 'add on' like a Parrot or such like!!

go on disco3 and talk to Wiggs

(or pm him on here)

He sells the bluetooth modules for the D4 "adapted" to work in the D3...so I'm sure the RRS has the same system. RRS gone

Wiggs updated my 06 D3 BT kit as it was needing the PIN entered every time I shut down, a RRPITA. Since the update it has worked flawlessly, and now copies the phonebook over. Mr. Green

Don't think do, I think the main dealer answer would be new BT module, same physical part but newer software. £236 + VAT ISTR, plus fitting.

And will that sort everything out? It's just my car is under full warranty including all the phone / stereo / tv's etc and if this is the case I will get them to sort it out!

It did with mine and I'm making the assumption that it would for a RRS, being essentially a D3 in a skimpy frock! Whistle I'm not a techie so prob best to check with dealer. Certainly from conversation with Nick, parts manager at Yeovil LR it's physically the same part with newer software. Thumbs Up

Fantastic thankyou, maybe I'll call Yeovil up because Hunters in Southampton so far have completely unimpressed me!

Ask for Nick directly, tell him Derek recommended him. When he stops cursing me (sold them a D3 in Feb) he'll be able to help. Whistle Thumbs Up

Certainly lots of peeps D3side have good experiences of Yeovil and Nick's services, including me. Thumbs Up

Depends on the software version, older ones dont like the 4. Si if you do get a new one don't chuck the old one as you can always get it reflashed & flog it on. Mind you if you are still under warranty then your original one should work as ISTR the change was 07MY. Confused
