Where the he'll were you!?

As with all villages, they charge what they like, but there is always a Tesco etc 5 mins away with "normal" prices, if you can say that with the price it is now!

What I would like to know is why, 3 days after all this stooshie in the middle east started the price at the pumps went up? That oil was bought and paid for weeks and weeks before the political situation changed, it takes minimum of 10 days to get the oil from the ground in North Africa to the refineries at Stanlow/Grangemouth/Southampton/Milford Haven - somebody apart from the Chancellor is also profiteering. In the village here the filling station is asking £1.469ppl for Thames brand diesel.
If I go 16 miles into town I can save 12p a litre going to the nearest Shell garage. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I too am Censored off by it. Big Cry
But ye know what, think outside the box for a minute.
Every time fuel prices go up,every thing else follows.
Now think of the massive intake of vat that the exchequer gets as a result.(not only from fuel )
Now you can see why they don't like to see it come down.
It don't look good for the future if you live in the wilderness Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry

Half the problem is that we just moan on forums etc and bend over and take it, in France they would riot in the street!

Fact is, if you are not going to stand up and do something about it just pay for it and get on with your life, it's too short as it is!

Maybe someone can explain to me why when the price of a barrel of oil goes up the fuel price goes up along with it? Confused Since we are a major oil producing nation then surely when the price goes up they SELL a barrel for more so that should mean the price coming down?? Neutral No?? Question Obviously the oil companies are MAKING MORE if they sell it from the North and irish seas when the price rises so it doesn't seem to make sense to me. Censored

Don't understand how that system works. Thud Or is it just another excuse to hike prices and rip us off even more while they make a mint from selling oil at the high prices while bending us over at the pump?? Banging Head Current, M135i in Estoril Blue with more extras than the cast of Ben Hur.

The price of oil on the world markets has fallen today........................ I wouldn't be holding my breath waiting for as rapid a reduction in prices as the speed that it went up at. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
